Tool Upgrade Order
Which tool to upgrade first and the best time to hand it to the Blacksmith.
- Which tool to upgrade first and the best time to hand it to the Blacksmith.
•Watering Can first
The can eats the most stamina and time each morning. Upgrade it on a rainy day or on the season's last day (upgrades take 2 days, so you won't need to water).
•Pickaxe next
The pickaxe matters for mining and clearing rocks. An un-upgraded pickaxe won't let crops die, so it's lower pressure than the can.
•Then by need
Axe (for wood), Hoe (optional, speeds tilling at higher tiers). Upgrade based on what bottlenecks your day.
✓Checklist
- Watering Can on a rainy/season-end day
- Pickaxe for mining & rocks
- Axe when you need wood
- Plan 2-day downtime per upgrade
?FAQ
Which tool first?
Watering Can → Pickaxe → others as needed.
Why upgrade the can on a rainy day?
Upgrades take 2 days; on a rainy day you don't need to water, so it costs no downtime. The 28th also works.
Pickaxe or can — which matters more?
Both matter; the can is tighter for farming, the pickaxe is lower pressure since crops won't die without it.
